The project was organized with the help of the KAB-Int.Solidaritätswerk in Eichstätt, the Weltnotwerk and the CWM Kenya. The chairman Tarcisio Njue with the chairman of Karena, Japhet M.Gitura, see picture 2. His son, Agricola Kinoti, secretary and Nelson Mutugi sent us pictures of the barn with the cows and a report. The contact to this project arose from a meeting with Bishop Mugambi from Meru/Kenya during his visit to Germany at the local KAB group in Ingolstadt-Etting, who spontaneously organized a donation. The KAB-Int. Soldiaritätswerk and the Weltnotwerk provided further funds so that this small project could get underway. The group currently has 22 active members north of Mount Kenya.
The cows are healthy and in good condition.
One of the cows, i.e. the cow led by the Nelson Mutegi, was burnt and inseminated in June 2018.
All cows are kept in well developed stables using natural resources.
The shredder helped the group members to chop the grass and other feed, reducing waste to a minimum, as Agricola Kinoti wrote us.
